This is Nolan’s new top-of-the-range flip-up helmet. It is characterised by its elegant design, its many technical features and the wide range of colours and graphics available. Its compact size (thanks to the availability of two outer shell sizes), double P/J homologation, an ultrawide visor, VPS sun screen (adjustable in various positions and fitted with the automatic retraction system), AirBooster Technology upper ventilation system, rotation of the chin-guard with elliptical motion, exclusive double-action chin-guard opening mechanism, Microlock2 double-lever retention system with micrometric adjustment, innovative Clima Comfort inner comfort padding (with micro-perforated fabrics) and set up for the N-Com communication system make the N100-5 one of the reference-point flip-up helmets for the most demanding of motorbike tourists.

P/J HOMOLOGATION

The helmet can be used either with the chin guard open (J configuration) or closed (P configuration), as the protective chin guard has passed the homologation tests required by UN/ECE regulations for full-face helmets.

ULTRAWIDE VISOR

The large surface of the S/R (Scratch Resistant) visor makes it possible to have a broader view, also lateral, thus highly increasing active safety.

PINLOCK FOG-RESISTANT INNER VISOR

Supplied (according to the segment) and with silicone-sealed profile (FSB – Full Silicone Border).Thanks to the exclusive patented adjusting system adopted by the Nolangroup, the stretch of the Pinlock inner visor can be adjusted, operating from the outside of the visor and making removal of the inner visor unnecessary.

VPS SUNSCREEN WITHUV 400 PROTECTION

Positioned on the inside of the helmet, it is moulded out of LEXANTM and is S/R (Scratch Resistant) and F/R (Fog Resistant) treated, with UV protection up to 400 nanometres. It is easy to remove when it is not needed, or for normal maintenance and cleaning operations.The activation system (patented) allows for the automatic retraction of the sunscreen in the standby position. In this way, eventual emergency manoeuvres for the rapid retraction of maximum visibility offered by the visor (for example when entering a tunnel) are more simple.

VENTILATION SYSTEM +AIRBOOSTER TECHNOLOGY

The exclusive AirBooster Technology upper system ensures optimal ventilation where the rider’s head most requires: the air is extracted from the upper air intake and forced into the most critical areas, avoiding any dispersion, to guarantee maximum comfort also in extreme riding conditions. Moreover, the ventilation system features:- a chin guard air intake this allows ventilation at mouth level and directs air straight to the visor, limiting fogging; – rear extractors they allow for the expulsion of hot, stale air.

CHIN GUARD ROTATION WITH ELLIPTICAL TRAJECTORY (PATENTED)

The chin guard rotation movement with elliptical trajectory makes it possible to keep the total size of the helmet’s front section to a minimum, when the chin guard is open. The seal effect is consequently highly reduced and riding comfort is still guaranteed, even when the chin guard is lifted.

DUAL ACTION (PATENTED)

Exclusive DUAL ACTION chin guard opening system. Positioned in the centre of the chin guard, it allows for easy, one-handed opening. The dual action opening mechanism reduces the risk of accidental opening: the chin guard can be opened only operating the first release lever (or safety lock) and then activating the second lever.

MICROLOCK (PATENTED)

Double lever retention system with micrometric adjustment. This system consists of a thermoplastic ergonomic opening lever, and of a second aluminium toothed and holding lever. The toothed lever releases the micrometric strip, thus the chin strap can only be open with a very broad rotation of the opening lever. This device minimizes the possibility of unintentional opening of the retention system.

SINGLE-BLOCK CHEEK PADS

The internal padding in expanded foam for the cheek pads has been designed in order to provide superior even pressure and consistent performance over time compared to traditional padding. It can also be removed from its fabric coverings in order to make washing of the latter easier.

“CLIMA COMFORT” INNER COMFORT PADDING

A new concept, the inner padding is made with double density micro perforated fabric. Combined with the “AirBooster Technology” upper ventilation system, it distributes air in the upper part of the rider’s head. The shape of the wind shield aids the closing of the chinguard and protects from irritating drafts of air in the chin area.

NECK-ROLL

Removable, washable and adjustable, consequently easily adaptable to the form of the rider and the various set-ups resulting from differing riding positions.

MOULDED LINING FOR THE INNER CHEEK PADS IN POLYSTYRENE

The helmet has an innovative moulded lining for the internal cheek pads in polystyrene which allows for a more precise fitting of the fabric inner cheek pads. This lining, which gives the product a quality finish, also provides the housing for the earphones of the N-Com communication system.
