As the successor to the tried and tested 420 standard chain, a new technology was used to manufacture the rollers on the 420D.

Previously, the rolls were wound from sheet metal strips, which created a seam and thus a weak point.

With the help of the new technology, the rolls are made from round material, thus avoiding a seam.

20-50% higher wear resistance compared to DID 420
